Application

The matters to be included in an application are set out in the above section on Types of Approvals.

The lodging of an application is a mechanical procedure and ERMA is not required to determine whether the information provided is sufficient at that stage of the process. ²³³⁷  Provided the application contains sufficient information to enable interested parties to participate effectively, the applicant is not bound to disclose all details of the composition of the new organism. This enables the applicant to protect commercial confidentiality. ²³³⁸
